Ok, so, I have a gigabit network at home. I have a linux box which I use to download large files at night, because then it only eats half of my download limit.
At the moment, I've been using SFTP to transfer the files easily, but it's so incredibly slow it's not even funny anymore (uses about 2% of the network bandwidth).
I've been contemplating using Samba, but it'd require a whole lot of configuration to get that right, and it probably would be slow too.
So someone suggested using DC++, which seemed like a viable alternative. Only problem tho, is that I seem to have somewhat crashed the X server on the linux box and I can't find any command-line DC++ clients (I have the server installed and that works fine).
Are there any other options I could explore? Or does anyone know of a command-line DC++ client?
