Have tried light massaging at the moment, doesn't seem to be producing many results. In fact, heavy 'massaging' doesn't do it a lot of good either .

I have a software program called UndeadPixel at the moment, which basically flashes all the 3 primary transistor colors over a very small area of pixels about 30 times a second. I'll leave it running for a few hours and see if it brings the old 'stuck pixel' to life. I'm pretty sure that it is just a stuck pixel anyway, as apparently 'dead' pixels cannot have a color. This stuck pixel only shows up as a blue dot on a black / gray screen. It could be a lot worse, but still... one of those niggling annoyances .
DON'T MASSAGE IT!!!!!

It's a myth that it fixes them. It can work, but there is a very, very slim chance of it working - there is a much greater chance of you damaging more pixels. It also potentially voids your warranty (certainly Apple warranties on their cinema displays).

Don't do it! It's a very, very bad idea.

I too own a Samsung 226BW and I'm very happy with my purchase.  You can't go wrong with their products, I say go for it.

Thanks for the word of warning. I'm just sticking with it for now, it really doesn't bother me, and there's also a slim chance of the pixel just 'fixing itself' through repeated use and gradual wear and tear... so to speak . I'm really not bothered about it anymore, I'm over the moon with how my 'vision' for a completely new workspace has panned out, and no way is a 0.1mm square pixel going to ruin my fun!
