No, not possible that I know of, you're basically fucked at this point. My gf tried that too, but could not find a program that would do it.

This is why I didn't get an ipod. They use unnecessary proprietary shit that ends up fucking over the end user more than helping them.

No it's quite possible. I do it all the time

Tunebite, and make sure you get a crack, too. Otherwise you'll be left with just 30 seconds of your song.

Tis very possible.

1. Tunebite.

2. Burn to CD, then import back as MP3.

3. NoteBurner (basically the same idea as above, but uses virtual drives to make the whole process faster).

Are you sure your files are protected? Did you buy them from the iTunes store? Or did you just import them as m4a when you popped in a CD. If they aren't protected, then tunebite won't work... or at least that's what it says. You have to go into the preferences and somewhere in there, there's an option that says "allow only addition of protected files" or something like that. Uncheck it and it should let you add any ol' file.

ok, I have tried what you guys said and am unable to burn these files to a cd.

I have tried different burning programs, codecs, and file converters and nothing works.

My system recognizes them as winamp media files but they are M4a files and I am unable to play or burn them to a cd or mp3 cd.

any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong or that I can do to make these burnable and playable will be appreciated greatly.
