graphics card upgrade question!

hi,
i´m looking for a new card as my 6600gt just does not cut it any more, so i have been looking at these 2 cards the ati 1950pro or a 7900gs which would be best. i have only a limited amount of cash so anything new is out of the question.
the rest of my system is a bit poor
cpu amd 3200+ (2ghz)
ram 2gigs ddr 400
x-fi sound card
asus a8v-e se mother board

I have a 7900GS. It's pretty good. I overclocked it a tad.
It runs BF2 at the highest settings possible, but struggles a bit on CoD4. I have to play at 1024x768 with medium high settings, 2x AA.

But still, it's a good card.

A 7900 Goes for around 170+ euro's you can get a 1950Pro for 110 euro's and they both perform kinda the same I think, will look that up now...

EDIT: A 1950 Pro, perform 500 points above the 7900GS on 3Dmark06 @ 1280x1024 4x AA 8x AF and default quality.

The X1950Pro performs better, offers better image quality and is cheaper.

Well, at times. nVidia was better in the 'middle region' of DX9, but ATi completely owns the top-end market of DX9. But the middle cards like the X600/X1600 were total failures compared to 6600/7600.

Anyhow, I go with the stream. Get a 1950.

Indeed, 7600GT was the best of the mid-range.
