My friend gets an average of 18 FPS with his 8800GT 512 with everything as high as possible on 1440x900 (or 990, whatever it is). Is this good, or where the performance should be?
you should list how much and what kind of ram, as well as what CPU he has....
3.25 GB Kingston and a Q6600.

That was with his old drivers, which were installed over his 8500GT ones without Driver Cleaner or an uninstall. I'll have him run through again with the new ones and see. This is on Vista, in DX10, though.

I have a 8800GT 512, 3 gigs of ram, Q6600, and vista. I'm running every thing on very high in dx10 mode and I'm getting an average of 30 fps.

Yea... 1024x768.. and he is talking about an 8600GT, not ur 8800GT.. Btw because you all like to show off how about I tell you I run the game on improved very high with my own custom tweaks at 30fps on 1280x1024 (8800GTX)? Even with AA.
