I saw an episode of cops a few year back and it featured a sting operation similiar to what was in that article. they went to the shittiest part of Atlanta and left a $2k mercedes licenced bicycle unchained next to a convienient store. so, of course they were arresting people all night, trying to boost this ride.
I basically respect most cops, but I think they do these kinds of operations simply because they're easy, doing real police work takes more time and costs more money. cops, like everyone else, are lazy.

You know what i would do?
I'd tell her ok but not in the park maybe a secluded place that is'nt public.
If she refused then i would know that somethings up and i would just walk away.
Come back an hour later and video tape all the entrapment going on for the next few hours.
Analyze every cops face in the video.
Buy 1 untraceable .38 silenced semi auto pistol.
Hunt down and kill every cop who tired to entrap me.
Move to mexico and get a sex change.

The point of doing that is to catch the fucktards that would actually steal something that isn't theres. It's not human nature to steal shit. Nobody is being naive here. Of course there will be people who will do that. They're called cowards. Alot of people only try to steal things when they can easily get away with it. Locks can be picked, cars can be broken into. But that requires a little effort. Effort these cowards won't put into it. So they'll go after easy targets, like how police stings are organized, and get caught. Oh boo hoo, poor criminal got caught. The mean ole police men tricked them into breaking the law.
