LAN using one CD?

I'm trying to set up a LAN coop game in Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, but I only have one CD.

I've tried a no-cd crack for one computer, but then it won't start. I also made an image file from the SC:CT CD.

So..is there any way this is possible?

Start up the game, take out the cd and use it to boot the game elsewhere, works for bf2
Give it a try?

Well I fucked something up.

It wouldn't even start with the CD.

I reinstalled it, and am patching it at the moment.

Taking the CD out worked.

..now I have another problem though.

When my brother tries talking with the mic over Vent in-game, I can't hear him. When he alt-tabs out, I can.
Any ideas?

Lemme guess, Vista? I had the same issue. Tell him to put Vent/TS in Admin mode with XP SP2 compatibility.

Well it works with the Shift button and a few others.

I'll try that out though.
