Benazir Bhutto's 19-year-old son Bilawal has been chosen to take over her Pakistan People's Party

I wonder if a 19 years old guy could deal with the Taleban?  This is a victory for Musharraf.

Bilawal, who will be a titular head while he finishes his studies at Oxford University said: "My mother always said democracy is the best revenge."
He isn't going to run the day to day operations, her widower will.  Let's just hope he doesn't try to corrupt the country and enrich himself like his mother did.  He isn't even allowed to run for Parliament, so I don't think we will have to worry about him dealing with the Taliban.

How is this decision a victory for Musharraf?

I highly doubt he will be able to do anything productive for the party at his current age,  but as a symbol, he represents a lot.

EDIT:
"How is this decision a victory for Musharraf?"

In some respects, it shows how desperate the party has become.

He's a figurehead that will help to grab the shock/sympathy vote.

Bilawal Bhutto is the ideal choice for chairman of the party. Now this is only going on first impressions, but he is ideal in that he is someone who the angry youth of Pakistan can identify with.

Very seeing on how he will end up like his mother.

His dad is the real power behind the throne.

I wouldn't like to be an Oxford student right now.

I bet Oxford security officials are a tad worried also.

As long as their family remains in politics, it will be cursed.
