But you essentially could do what happens in CoD4. You could go join the marines and get into firefights with surgies.djphetal wrote:
this is my thought too. Games, I feel, should be made as a way for us to imagine and interact with things we otherwise never could do. Either that, or they should be sports games with deep and interesting features.VicktorVauhn wrote:
I don't have to crawl through mud, be deployed to another country, or get shot in the face to play real guitar....you don't have to be anymore active, its just as convenient and with the price of game and controller you could have a real guitar.Hurricane wrote:
Who's to say the kid isn't just somewhat gifted with coordination and reflexes? You guys aren't off much better thinking lowly of a 9 year old. Frankly the kid's probably the envy of all the other 9 year olds at his school, video games are like crack to children remember?
And I don't get the hostility to Guitar Hero. "omg play a real gui-" shut the hell up, unless you join the real Marines you shouldn't play CoD4 right?
For the record I'm learning real guitar. Guitar Hero is a game, for entertainment and lulz. I know I can't shred in real life like I can in Guitar Hero, but you know what? I don't give a shit.
he's talking about the hammer ons and pull offs. and yea, its always been in the GH, although in the first one it is hard as balls and no one i know uses it on GH1.dill13 wrote:
you can hit notes that are right beside each other and very close together, its in the tutorial in gh3. if thats not what your talking about sorry but the webpage is not working for me.Rod Foxx wrote:
My problem with the vid is the finger tapping he does at the start. Whilst finger tapping works in real life i don't recall you being able to do that in GH (unless i''ve completely missed this feature). For those that don't know, when i say finger tapping i am referring to him playing the notes and not strumming.
The whole video looked dubious to me tbh but then hey, i suck hard at the game, so what the hell do i know.
Rod
lol, he plays a girl.
i almost hate that kid, lol. he's certainly a hell of a lot better than i am at that. i can't even get past the intro on hard....and i play guitar
Agreed and he doesn't look like the typical 9 year spoiled hyperactive to me. Bet he is gifted.Hurricane wrote:

He should get himself a real guitar though and something else to use his reflexes with.
after watching this i had to go try it myself... on expert on through the fire and flames i only got 68% notes hit... and this kid got 95!!!! his insane
