Hey guys,

Just wanted your opinion on what I might think about changing. I want to keep it under $1400.

Oh and should I get Vista 32bit or 64bit.

Get the 8800GT instead of the 8600GT

The SB Audigy SE doesn't do well in games (mine didn't anyway, maybe it's broken)

I believe if you buy the retail version (as opposed to the OEM) version of the Intel Processors, it comes with some thermal compound.

and Samsung makes some really good monitors...

Agreed. With both points.

You should go Samsung instead of Acer. Dunno, something about Acer just throws me off. Samsung is pure quality.

And the 8800 GT is just a little bit more than the 8600 GT and it's almost as good as a GTX.

swap the 8600 for a 8800, it'll only cost a few dollars more and it's 2-3 times as good as the 8600.

Yes it is, especially when you want to have 4 gig of RAM in it, which i would recommend with Vista.

Thanks guys. I remembered reading that for <2GB of ram you needed 64-bit Vista, but I wasn't sure if it was needed for processors/SLI/etc etc.

My only other question really was about the motherboard I choose. Theres a bunch in that price range and didn't know if you guys found/prefer another brand or specs. Thanks!
