Ok, so, I was going through some mediocre computers and stuff I have lying around (NO SHIT?!) and found 512MB PC3200 in a dusty old P4 1900MHz computer that hasn't been used for months.

My bed computer, wich I mainly use for web browsing and stuff has currently got 1GB RAM and a free slot. Do you think I'd notice a big enough performance boost in e.g flash games and light 3D games for me to take the time and effort to pull out the computer from behind the sofa and install the RAM, for a total of 1.5GB? It's an AMD Athlon 1600+ on an nForce2 mobo btw.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Really, it takes literally two minutes. RAM is the easiest upgrade you can do short of a new USB mouse. Really though I doubt there's any need. You're already limited by the processor but I imagine it can't hurt to give it a try.

Yes, I know more is better, but it's a fucking expedition to get the computer out of it's place. Last time it took >30 minutes...

Back on topic now. Would 1.5GB have an impact over 1GB on Firefox web browsing and 90's to early 2000's 3D games?

Probably not unless you have a bunch of processes eating up you ram.  if you are not using more than 1 gig then 1.5 will do nothing, and if the extra 512 has slower timings it could actually hurt performance.
