As a combination of Dutch beer and Irish whiskey will probably prevent me from making this thread tomorrow, so allow me to pre-empt you all...
2007 has seen highs and lows both on a global and personal scale for many bf2s-ers. On a personal level I lost my brother just before christmas and buried him today, but also achieved my goal of getting another year closer to finishing uni (6 months to go!). Globally, we've seen nothing different than previous years; bombings, disasters and the rare yet inspiring acts of selflesness and community spirit that come after these tragic events. Many of us have said "war is just around the corner" and have been doing so for years. We've also seen more and more scientific advances, and a bigger push to look after our planet. Besides this, all of us had to do without bf2s.com for a while, as the Gibson met a tragic end. But, thanks to some awesome work on the part of a few good people, we've seen our beloved internet community come back to life once again!
Anyway, as its now less that 5 hours until 2008 I must be off. Assisting me in my struggle against a box of Heineken and a bottle of Poltin (apologies for the spelling, no Irish keyboard here!) are my brothers friends, merriment awaits!
