Capability. Never got around to finding another 6600GT, and now they're all gone and I want a better card
Trust me, it is not worth it. I had two 6600GT running in SLI mode - nothing, really nothing. My fps was the same as with one 6600GT. Maybe GTX cards may show some +fps, but GT\GS in SLI are waste of money imo.elbekko wrote:

Nope just a single 8800GTX, I only have a decent P35 board which doesn't support SLi.. But meh, I'll only go SLi or Tri-Sli when I'm rich.. I'll just wait for the next single top card to come next.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. Capability to SLI but buying another card is not smart, gonna wait on the new 98xx series.
I ran SLi on my old rig, dual 7900gt's. It was alright i guess.

To properly use SLI you need to MANUALLY change the SLI rendering mode in the nVidia Control Panel Applet. The default mode will only give a limited boost, setting it to Alternate Rendering will have a dramatic affect on the overall FPS.
