My P4 CPU runs at 67-70 idle and its been like this for a long time. While Ive had few effects Id like it to run cooler. My case isnt huge so a medium sized headsink (with fan) that would fix in it would be nice as long as it runs it cool enough. Heres the case dimensions if that helps. HxWxL 16.8 × 8 × 17.5 inches Under $50 USD would be nice. On newegg as well since Im buying a few parts from them in the near future to upgrade my PC. Id prefer it to be easy enough to install without removing the motherboard.

assuming it's a socket 775 this is the one I recommend. I use these on all my computers and they are awesome.

I was actually looking at that and Im not so sure that would fit in my case. Id have to open it up and measure more precisely but from rough measurement on the outside it might not fit. Actually looking in my case theres a crapload of wires and even a wire going over the crappy heatsink thats in there. I dont think ANYTHING would fit in there. Ill take a picture of it so you can see what I mean.

Well first off: order your cables man! If you order your cables nicely the airflow would be so much better around your processor!

Order cables + freezer 7 pro = 30-40 degrees I think (depends on casefans as well)

I don't get that pic... It looks... Mirrored...
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I honestly wouldnt know how to mess with the cables but Ill give it a go. Its that green cable that goes over the heatsink that I dont think I could move. I dont even know where it comes from, Id have to look at it carefully but it goes from the top right over the heatsink and its tight in place there.

How does it look mirrored?

The PSU and cards are on the right... In a normal computer, they're on the left, since you open the left side.

It's a Dell, right?

Great cooler, just got one and it dropped my temps ~20%+

Note it's big, and the one lights up green but you can get ones that don't.

Id have to take a good look at the inside of my shit PC and rearrange wires to see if I can fit it inside.

that thing does not have a snowballs chance in hell of fitting in there. plus i really think that zalman is overrated for the price you pay.

As for fitting, I can't tell with the picture. You can face it in any direction, so the only big problem is the height.

I wouldn't pay $60 for it, but it's worth it at $45 after the discount.

I measured it. Ive got about 80-90mm of room and thats pushing it. The cables all tied together in the center are not going to move anywhere, but the green cord thing can be moved to the side and I think that powers the power switch or something.
