Not necessarily. Some games the 2900 owns the gtx. Also you got to remmeber that ATI will deliver waite better picture quality than nVidia. nVidia will deliver more performance. I myself prefer picture quality so that why i have Dual HD 3870s~{TPP}~richoxon wrote:

Post some links if you know of any benchmark results, i searched high and low and couldn't find any.Computer_Guy wrote:

Thats funny. An x1950 in CrossFire beats a gtx in SLI

...and nVidia have the top 6 spots on the table - for the same game.
Which is the whole point of SLI. The 2900XT performs worse in everything than the 8800GTX, except for the 1GB version, which performs better in a very small number of scenarios, certainly not typical usage.
What's all this about image quality being better with ATI? That may have been the case with the DX9 cards, but these days nVidias cards have much better image quality, particularly when it comes to AA.

Yea well, benchmarks are all about drivers and optimization. Maybe Prey isn't so optimized for nVidia cards and other than that it's only running in 1024x768 with no AA. I've seen quite a lot of times that when you crank up settings the nVidia cards keep a more stable, higher fps than ATi cards.
I will have SLI,.. one day!
Does SLI only allow you to run two or more monitors or does it increase graphics performance on a single computer?

I have the capability, and I am thinking off just buying another 7600GT just to tag me along for the ride, untill some decent AMD processors are out + new nVidia cards, do you think its a wise move? I can get it new for 48 euro's including the mailorder costs.
Yeah, but I'd rather go to an X38 board or a 780i when I update in april anyways. New technology ftw.Havok wrote:

Plus in the summer I'm gonna have LOADS of money, so I'm going to triple SLi 3 9 series cards.
SLI is the sexy

Yep - Running dual 8800GTS 640mb video cards and its so freaking sweet
1680x1050x32@60hz - monitor wont let me run above 60hz (not even if I enable the "Show modes this monitor cant support" checkbox)

Well duh - everyone knows that Nvidia is superior to ATI in every way......xGj wrote:
