My girlfriend wants to upgrade to one, but they said they can be problematic.

Has anyone got one, are they any good and would  you recommend it

Many thanks.

Well, I don't own one, but the N95 is certainly the best phone from Nokia so far. I've tried it a couple of times.

Really fast, good camera, wonderful screen, (MY PHONE HAS THE SAME SCREEN!!!1!!!111) extremely high pixel density, fast response and WONDERFUL colours!

Video playback on my phone is superb - And the N95 is S60 and 40% faster. I think it supports full-screen 320x240p video, but I'm not sure. But even 176x144p video looks good on this kind of screen.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Got one, and 5 N73's in the house.
And many 6600's (old new nokia style)
And an N90 and 2 N80's.

N95 by far the best.
N73 is definately one to get, if you cant afford N95. It's stunning as a phone.
