look at the dvi connectors... no holes for hot air to come out? yeah right.... doesn't look so right to me.
edit: Oops. it is double PCB. That explains it.... looks k then....

I'm scared to think about how high the temps would go with single-slot coolers on each PCB.
So where's the actual card? I am only seeing the cooling around it? >.<
On a more serious note, it does look sexy

I'm not willing to buy a card that only has two DVI ports and nothing else, but I'm willing to bet that if the picture is real, it's just a tester.
Besides which, I'm not too impressed with the ongoing driver support for the GX2 series.

Because the appearance always matters, doesn't it. I don't even understand why they put stickers and shit on it, seeing as it goes upside down in the case anyway.Jenspm wrote:

Looks like the worlds worst Photoshop if you ask me.
I'll wait until a more clear pic comes until I believe it.
Im going to get one as soon as it comes out
I wish I had money to afford it. I want an 8800GS for $150 but my parents won't let me.
I hate my parents.

Even if I had one, they would tell me to save all my money.jsnipy wrote:

But if you had a job you could just tell them "It's my money and I buy whatever the fuck I want with it".Ryan wrote:

Or you could just buy it secretly without them knowing. Whichever you prefer.
I couldn't do the last part. I'd need to order it online somewhere, then I would pay my parents back.maef wrote:

I have $700 in my bank account, and I don't have a job. They want me to save up for a car, which I agree with, but really, $150 isn't going to hurt me that much.
I'm really not one to tell people what to do, but just out of curiosity... why couldn't you just buy it at a regular store?Ryan wrote:

Probably 'cause in Canada they're not in the lucky situation that there is a cheap hardware retailer around every corner. About 50% of all Austrians live somewhere near to an E-Tec or DiTech for example - so we can simply go there and buy what we need (and yet, a car is nothing I'd want to lack in this case ).maef wrote:

Because God knows Best Buy jacks up the prices of Video Cards.maef wrote:

I almost got ripped off on one when I didn't know much about computers. Tried buying a 6600 I think it was for like 200 bucks.
Do these cards perform well for lower resolutions, say 1280x1024? Or are these like standard SLI were the improvements are only seen with increased resolutions?
Depends, if it is anything like the 7950 GX2 its pretty underwhelming imo. Is this G100 or D9E (or something else!?)Volatile wrote:
