Yeah for some reason When ever i play Crysis mp, it either shuts down, or disconnects me from servers. Help anyone? And yes i have allowed it in my firewall, and updated pb.

And yes i do have pb turned on, its not a pb kick, its a disconnect.
You get the 'Server authentication failed message?' happened to me a lot at first.
The fix: Enter your Crysis DVD in your PC. Browse the DVD and look for a folder called 'Tools'. In tools open up Crysis_code.exe, enter your DVD-key (or CD-key if you wish, let's call it serial number) which you can find in your manual. Press next and then ok, and you're ready to go.

If Crytek just puts a ranking system and stops all the hacking(never gonna happen) it will be very good.
I can't play Crysis mp because punkbuster won't run on 64bit os's (well....on Crysis anyway).

Edit: Yeah that works better, now it only closes Crysis every 5 minutes. Thanks for help anyway though.

It may be because you have changed the config files. Some change view distance etc. Some servers dont allow this, may be an unfair advantage. At start of MP game check the console by pressing

If so it will come up showing an error that your 'view distance/or other command' does not fit in a certain limit. So either change your config file or in mp game type in the applicable command with new limit. Example:
e_detail_materials_view_dist_xy 2042
This does not alter it permanently, just for every session. Handy if you still want to play SP with greater view distance.

Hmm tough one, check the console when you start though it may tell you whats happening, take a screenshot. I know you said you have allowed it in your firewall. Have you also allowed PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe ?

I use zonealarm firewall. In there those two punkbuster applications are under 'program control'. Not sure about windows firewall though.

I would close your firewall and see if that fixes the issue, then you know whats causing it.

Yeah it only does it sometimes, had an hour or so on an internode server before getting kicked for tks, (i think, all i remember was nuking their base, and then being kicked). Will try on a different server later. I promise i will post screeniesbob9f6 wrote:

Ryan GTFO. That's not helpful at all and you used to be a major Crysis fanboy and then all of a sudden changed because the demo sucked on your PC. Guess what? Sucked on mine too. Then the retail version came out and it ran fine on people's PCs. Just because you can't run it on your PC doesn't mean it's a bad game - which it isn't.
