IDM is useless, and never worked decently for me.

My script using wget works perfectly and faster =P Yes, I absolutely love it. Best thing about it is that I can put it in a cronjob so it downloads at night too.
That doesn't mean its useless. Just because it didnt work for you, doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone else.

If it didn't work decently for you, then how do you know your script is faster?

IDM works perfectly....

Plus, not everyone has Linux.

I would try yours if I did.

IDM didn't work properly for Rapidshare downloads. I've managed to do a few on there, and they got inferior speeds.

And yeah, I have a Linux box in the other room that stays on pretty much 24/7, which is quite handy

My RS downloads are perfect on IDM.

Is your script only for Linux?

No, I have premium, I just don't want to copy and paste a huge amount of links over and over, I just want to copy a list of them and have them download automatically.
I tried FlashGet but it only downloads like 5kb files
you need to add you login info under tools --> default download properties
As in the "Log into Server"
Username:
Password:

?

I did that, but I still get 5kb files
then you mistyped something or the links are dead ...

IDM should work just as good though, although I prefer flashget
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
