There seem to be plenty of subject that people won't even accept the slightest discussion about because even bringing up the topic is itself offensive to some, but what's the ultimate taboo? What subject is most likely to send people running for the hills?
A few suggestions:
Sex - The classic taboo. We all want it, most of us get it, but few people will talk about it seriously. For example, the hot coffee mod. A game with wall to wall violence and drugs, yet simulated sex causes the largest uproar?
Religion - Even mentioning that someone's religious beliefs may be wrong is often taken as a massive personal assault, despite the fact that clearly with so many religions out there most of them must be wrong. Why can't people discuss religion without it being automatically offensive?
Dodgy things our governments do - All countries to horrible things that we all should know about and be ashamed of. We're happy to criticise other countries, yet when it's us do the bad things suddenly it bcomes justified or ignored?
People are different - All people are not born equal. There are huge numbers of genetic differences between people across the world. Researching those differences in the same way you would for some other creature is somehow racist or inherently bad?
The human body - We shit, piss, fart, sweat, burp and a whole manner of other perfectly natural bodily functions, we're just not allowed to talk about it for some reason.
