hell yea. i just talked to my buddy, and we are going to go shoot his g3, ak47, m4, 12 gauge, and sks in a couple hours. fucking sweet! pics to come.
I tried to hold on to the suppresor, but for some reason it felt more comfy holding it like a pistol.Lai wrote:
Three notes:
1. Why are you not using the MAC's suppresor for support like the girl does, it's easier and practically what its intended for?
2. Bushmaster AR copies are of better quality then the originals
3. I hate to spoil the fun but technically that's NOT an SVD. The Romanian product is nothing more than a look alike; internally it's just an AK-47 chambered for 7,62x54R. Would explain why they had it available at the range though. I'm convinced that's the type of weapon you fired, you can see it if you look at the front handguards: http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn18-e.htm
No, you didn´t spoil the fun. Looked like an SVD to me, I had my fun, no harm done.
Sidenote : After shooting that SVD/FPK I for sure relalised, that the SVD in BF2 is far away from having the correct recoil. I want to see the guy that puts 10 fast rounds out of this baby and still stays as accurate as in the game.

Dude, I´m a professional metal worker, I know for damn sure, when it´s healthy to put some earplugs in. But we will talk about that when you reach your 50s. No wait... by that time you are probably deaf as a mole... nevermind.SamTheMan:D wrote:

It´s highly illegal to shot a them and pay pretty dearly for that. Most of them are several hundred years old.

Maybe a "real" SVD is heavier and/or has a different gas dispersion, but I can't say anything about that with any certainty. I do know that for example a FAL has an adjustable gas system which, along with it's heavier weight, results in less recoil than other 7.62 Battle Rifles such as the G3 and M14. Anybody has an opinion about this?HellHead wrote:
