Loved vanilla, but SF gets my vote. Maybe it's because I can't fly a plane very well. Or maybe it's because I get TK'ed every time I try and get in a plane.
yeah the TKs in regular bf2 is just so fucking annoying. i get TKed a ton when i try to get a vehicle. i even when im near a vehicle im not going to get into i still get TKed. wtf. i like the gameplay of SF more, and also the community. none of my friends or clan members like SF that much though so i dont play it as much. but i have to admit it is fun to fly a jet.terrafirma wrote:

Overall I think you have to give BF2 the vote. It's got most of the maps and most of the "normal" G.I. Joe infantry weapons. Special Forces is cool, with the gadgets and stuff, but the fact that there are too few maps and on most maps I get serious lag, makes BF2 better than SF in my book
One thing I don't like is that only 1 side get the new weapons, the other side doesn't get anything upset a new rocket launcher though can't be controlled. These maps lag more than normal and night vision sucks for the moment on night maps

Yup,in SF you can get more points,maybe it's because the maps are so small.elite wrote:

But the maps are generally better,the people playing SF are somehow more reasonable and serious than the average teamkilling vehiclewhore in BF2.
And I can't stand most of the chinese maps in regular BF2 anymore,unless you are vehiclewhoring you have to walk a mile to find some enemies...so my vote goes to SF.
Never played SF. BF2 is fine for me.
BF2 is just slightly better than SF. SF has some great maps but sometimes I really miss balance take Iron Gator. on paper a great map and really attracting but in the game it is just a camp of AT and Support guys on the rear side of the deck (also C4 on the deck is very popular) the front of the deck is allways covered by the AA on the Essex and boats are easily destroyed by AT and the Heli.
and the RPG that thing is just a HUGE advantage. 2 rockets takes a APC down 3 is a tank.
when I am in an APC I don't know if someone aims at me. and where he is. the only way to find out is by luck or you need to get hit so the red zone appeares on the screen. but he only has to hit you once more and you are gone. especialy the BMP3 suffers from the RPG with its bumping and wobbling.
Defending against armor was never so easy
In BF2 the balance is just a bit better. though SF can be amusing the grappling hook and zip-line add a lot of strategy and awareness. but a lot of maps and weapons may give a good advantage to one team.

but have some things that are bad like
lack of maps, way not enough maps
no jets (allthough theres a airbone specialist ribbon for SF but NO JETS! ?!?!?!?!?)

for the lag it could be both, for my computer is extremely outdated and I have wireless internet running through 3 walls. But I've got a hunch it's just my bad computer. I can barely run BF2 reg. on it.
