K, so final decision. Going with a G7 + a QPAD CT series.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6826104203 (not getting it from Newegg)

I really figured I'd need a G7 as my desk is oddly shaped and I don't think a corded mouse would work very well.

What batterys does it use? or do you charge it on a base?

Cant be bothered with changing batterys on a mouse, so pointless.

It comes with a base that charges 1 battery at a time. You get two batteries which are hot-swappable, so while you're playing with one you can charge the other.

The G5 wheel SUCKS ASS.
Don't get it. MX 512 is the best Logitech mouse on the market.

Microsoft makes some kick ass mice aswell, but I can't comment on Razer's products as I've never really used them.

I'm going to chime in and back the MX518 as well.  Best mouse I've owned.  Working in IT I get to use all kinds of laser mice and whatnot...not one of them has been able to compare to the precision and feel of the MX518.  Best mouse I've ever owned.  In fact, I think I will pick a couple of extra if Logitech decides to discontinue them.  Not because they break or are of low quality, but as a gamer I am hard on my mice...mostly from mashing my fist to them.

i got  Razer Diamond back not that i don't like it it is very fast and all, but while in game it locks itself to the right strafe so i get deported to the right so i have to roll the weapons and shoot some shots so as to unlock it and it cost me 5 or ten seconds and maybe 1 or 2 lives in the process. Any of you got the same problem and know how to fix this ? it happens only in BF2 not in Mohaa or in others programs. Tks

The mouse comes with a cd is it absolutely necessary to install it to use the mouse ?

Yeah, install what's on the cd - they will be the drivers for the mouse, this will help it function properly.

My computer had driver issues with the old Razer DiamondBacks; I hope the new DBG have better drivers. Go with Logitech if you want a stress-free solution.
