Ok, i'm downloading it anyway. However i think it'll be unplayable on most maps. I remember once i upped the draw distance on Karkand so i could see the whole map at once, and got 3-4 fps.

However, assuming my target doesn't move for a few minutes at a time, i should be able to get a shot in .

Edit: Yeah i was right. Went on the server, and it took about 10 seconds for the spawn menu to completely come up. Unplayable. Then i got kicked because punkbusterA isnt running.

Wut sniper rifles are there new besides the M82 inclusion? You should get a wide selection of rifles if you can, like the Mk.12 and M21 etc.

BTW, there will be a version 1.01 (released today). It will include some minor fixes, but big gameplay changes:

After playing for a few hours on our full 20-player server, me and Dibbie agreed that we could never make the spotter class truly useful. That's why we've decided to scrap the class altogether.

As it is now, sniping is frustrating because you can't spot, it's hard to find targets unless they're standing on top of a mountain. And spotters can't relay their spotted information to the snipers because the attack markers are invisible (or very faint at least). So spotting is frustrating because you see the enemy but don't have a weapon to shoot him, and your squad members don't seem to notice him.

I'm restoring the flag / attack order icons, and the spotting ability. All snipers will now get:

1 - knife
2 - pistol
3 - sniper rifle (with rangefinder)
4 - smoke grenade
5 - tripwire flares
6 - binoculars (with rangefinder)

Gameplay over realism IMO.
