I have no qualms about being finally rid of such stupidity as bunny-hopping and dolphin-diving, which ruin the immersive experience of BF2. No video-game will ever be realistic, but the most glaring blemishes can be effaced.
As for armor, proper use below hostile air cover or in confined urban settings takes a measure of skill above merely blasting away. As long as 2 C4s or the nose-cannon on a Mig attack-chopper can destroy an M1A1, it's not a safe bet.
Finally, regarding air vehicles becoming more vulnerable - commendations to EA. No one player should ever be able to dominate a round as I have seen some chopper pilots do. That this can happen indicates the imbalance in air power in BF2, not just pilot skill. Being able to reload in mid-air, for example, is an outrage. Simply having to return to an airfield for 10-20seconds would go a long way to level the playing field.

We understand that there will be some adjustment in tactics required when the patch comes out but we are confident that the community will quickly come to grips with the new tactics.

If most of u guys are complaining about noobs and saying bunny hopping should be taken way. Then ur saying it making it urealistic. Trust me if u were getting shot at in real life im pretty sure u would move pretty fast jumping all over the place. Jumping to get away from anything is not being a noob. Its protecting urself. If u cant kill a person jumping, well then u better use a bigger gun cause ur aim must be terrible. The only noobs are the ones that kill themselfs to kill someone else. If its a tank ok thats fine but jumping ontop of someone and blowing both of u up is just stupid.
I would love to see a movie like that. Where someone is getting shot at and they bunny hop to kill the other person. We could call it Bunny Militants, or how about BUNNY Hunters, or Bunzilla, or how about HAPPY HOPPERS.

sure the aircraft are a pretty easy to kill now, it may have been a bit of an over correction but everything else has put the fun back into the game.
