The lesser of two evils? Since my 4 GBs of RAM aren't utilized with xp32, which should i go for? Dare i even say Vista 64, of which i've heard nothing but nightmares?
Honestly, go for Vista 64 and hope for the best. The majority of people have it working fine. Hopefully you wont become one of the minority to have countless problems with it. If you buy Vista Ultimate it comes with 32bit and 64bit so if you have 64bit problems you can reinstall with 32bit.

XP 64.
As DU said, Vista 32 will use 4GB RAM as much as XP 32 will. It's nothing magical with Vista.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
I run Vista 64 and haven't had any issues whatsoever.
Iv been running vista 64bit with 4 gig for a few months and its the nutz, no problems at all, runs super quick like freezers super pea, and looks the bollocks!!
