Wow... Looks like Shamino's (very known overlocker that works for foxconn now) work to me. Only he could design something like that water cooling

Anything above regular SLI/ Crossfire just sounds like a big waste of money to me.  I'm sure it'd get nice performance with a QX9650 and 4 HD3870's, but it just sounds like a waste of money.  Then again, if you can afford it, go for it.

I bet even that plays crysis like shit.

Well, today's patch says it increased SLI (probably Crossfire too) support, so who knows.

I don't really get it; AMD owns ATI, so, naturally, Intel should favour nVidia, but yet, they make boards for ATI cards...

Wtf?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Have you any idea how big ATI actually is? This forum base in a whole may favour nVidia but there's no denying that they are a massive company. Also, if you only aim for the nVidia market...then you are missing out on a huge percentage.

Quad crossfire looks awesome. A few of the 780i boards have triple SLi.

Yes, I'm not so much into it, but the fact that Intel chipsetss officially only support Crossfire, and not sli must be missing a huge percentage of the market on the nVidia side...

don't you freezer think it would hurt the sales of the boards if it only supported nvidia gfx cards? and yay it is foxconn that made quad crossfire possible on intel chipset with those extra chips that no one knows what they are.

Meh, this is out of my area on tech, really. I haven't read enough about the newer Intel chipsets and such. You're all propably right

Wtf is this comment? He made a point here. But nVidia doesn't favour Intel cos of sli. Intel didnt got the sli license cos intel chip and sli is win so nforce would be instantly forgotten.

Just telling him why Intel still uses ATI chipsets...

Christ listen, how many people use Intel mobos now huh? After the release of Core 2 Duo, AMD's CPU's are fucked. Now, they could make a shit load of money selling ATI chipsets over instead of being dumb cunts and keeping it to themselves.

Well then the power consumption is unacceptable.
Btw you ever heard four 3870s running with full vent speed?

why would you use 100% fan speed when the stock is enough to keep em all cool?
and a ~1000w PSU is enough. If you have money to buy those cards, you don't care paying few $ more for it.

Anyone notice the 2 x 24 pin mobo connectors? thats 48 pin plus another 8 pin for the cpu. thats 56 pins just for the motherboard.
