I got my DVD-RAM drive for $32 with free shipping off newegg. I know its an ASUS drive, not sure of the make.

Same as my old drive. But i like Lite-on because i have a 5-6 year old cd burner which has'nt broke and even though is only 40x read cd-rom, 24 burn cd-rom, And 12x burn cd-rw. It works faster then my bro's dual layer dvd burner with 48x read/write and 32x cd-rw.(Also my bro's drive does'nt read everything but mine does)
Which one would be better for me?
Neither of those have burning capabilities, and the sony is IDE instead of SATA.
Dont want a burner because i dont need one and if i do i only burn cd's. Plus my bro has a dvd burner and i just use his.
