almost every time i turn on my computer i get this loud ass high pitched noise coming from my speakers. i know it's something with my soundcard because it never did it before i installed it. i've had this soundcard in for a couple of months, but the noise only happened 1 out of every 10 or so times i turned on my comp. lately, it has been doing it everytime. it goes away when i restart though. any ideas? i have reseated the card and reinstalled the drivers. this shit is annoying as hell, and i'd really like to know what's causing it. thanks.

Try plugging your speakers into your mobo and if it doesn't squeal then i guess you gotta buy a new card unless the techies here have an idea.

I know what it could, do you have a mic, mic/headset next to your speakers? This could be interference

interferencezzzzzzzzzzz *static*

EDIT: to help try insulating your soundcard, everything in your pc gives of EM fields and sometimes this can mess up your soundcard, especially if you knock your pc and wires move about inside.

If it's isolated to your soundcard, it could be a blown capacitator.
