I always imagined a ninja cutting down all the light poles street signs and mail boxes.
Yep, I did it too.
I also used to look at all the farmland while driving and imagine a man on stilts, with the rows in between crops as the stilts. The faster the car would go, the faster the man on stilts would run.
There used to be a lot of crops out here back in the day. Now they are all commercial buildings.

Yep, i would do it on trains and busses, usually just running and jumping and swingin from stuff, sometime skateboard.

I'm amazed so many people did this lol. I thought I was the only one.
Its the video game era. I we didnt have a console in our hands we had to invent it for ourselves.
Then why the hell did you feel the need to bring it up in the topic title? You could have just left that detail out.White-Fusion wrote:

Yes.
Plus, whenever I took a standardized test (one where you had to fill in the bubbles/rectangles), I'd imagine a guy running up and down them. If I had a series in a row (like A,B,C,D), it would be a staircase. If there was a repetition (like C,C,C) it would be a ladder.
I am a huge geek.

Because I didn't know how much of a anti-4chan response there was going to be.maef wrote:

I never imagined a ninja, or anything like that. In the back seat of a car, I would try to time the back/front wheels in rhythm to something outside, usually gaps between parked cars.

Omg i still do that with drive ways and stuff.Lucien wrote:

Or i count the roads or driveways on each side of the vehicle. Like we pass 2 driveways on the right and 1 on the left, and i want the car to pass another driveway on the left to make it even and stuff. Weird.
Hmmm. This will be random but when I'm walking along a road towards cars I sometimes try and reach a sign or a shop before a car gets to it...NeXuS4909 wrote:

Don't think it has anything to do with video-games actually, i'm like 37 and had the same fixation when i was a kid before i got my Donkey Kong gameboy (yes, the very first portable one with just one game) and my Vic20 game computer (the one that loaded games of an MC tape and played on the television).
Imagined myself riding a skateboard alongside the car jumping obstacles and tapping light poles and such, also in the old days when we had those large TV transmitter antennas all over the place i used to track the time from one was visible to where i lost sight of it, could be like visible for 30+ minutes.
Wonder if this is a boy thing or if girls does the same ...

Wait behind the line ..............................................................
I asked about 11 girls and they all said no. Quite a few guys knew about this whole thing.Varegg wrote:

I did/do this, and I also have a game where I pick a dirty spot on the window and make it follow the horizon/see what it blends in with.
I get bored in cars
I get bored in cars
LOL. I did that all the time. Skateboard only though.
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
I used to do that and use it like a gun scope and shoot stuffFenris_GreyClaw wrote:

Forgot about that one lmao.
There is no problem with the topic from this thread coming from /b/. That said, there was no reason to mention it was from /b/ either, especially considering that link will do nothing but incite the masses.
I'm curious, but I don't want to find out what/b/ is..........
someone PM me...I'm scared to visit the link or google it.

I agree... I keep seeing the thread name show up in my subscription emails and think "What the hell is this?" Then I go here and say to myself "Oh yeah, the bored car passenger thread."Flaming_Maniac wrote:

i used to do it pretending that I was flying a fighter jet and every object was an enemy of some sort and I had different types of missiles, machine guns, and bombs to kill them with. I was a cool kid.
Yup did that all the time... And my usually on a kinda flying skateboard and he'd use things as weapons and fight robot ninjas... like barbed wire + Wood... Haven't done it in a while thoughWhite-Fusion wrote:
It says
"When I was little, during car rides (especially long road trips), I used to stare out the window and imagine there was some person running alongside the car, and that every passing detail were somehow an obstacle.
There were variations at times, of course. Sometimes he'd be on a skateboard, jumping over driveways, and sometimes he'd be like a ninja hopping on the roofs of cars and swinging from street lights.
I imagine this is due to my having been raised on video games.
Has anybody else ever done this as a kid?"
Did any of you have this?
I did, I can't believe other people did this too lol.
