Should I sell my old hw+HD 3870 and get a 8800GTS 512MB?

Simple question. should I? I have some old hardware that I can give to the 8800GTS seller so I don't have to pay more than few € for it. I'm interested trying nvidia for a change.

If you have the money to burn then yea do it. Other wise its a really stupid move for only 16% increase.

but I can sell my HD 3870 and some other hardware so it would be like 20-50€.

Its still stupid for only a 16% increase to pay that much of a difference. If anything I learned about scouting for a new computer parts is that its not worth pay $100 for a small increase. I'm currently building a computer with my tax check to include a 3870 and AMD 6400 for far less than intel and nVidia.

My GTS runs crysis on all high, 1600x1200 res without any slowdowns, E6600 with 4 GB DDR2.

It depends on the game, some games run better with a GTS than a GTX. I believe it even beats the ultra in some cases.

Personally, I would get the GTS if the GTX is more than $75 over the GTS, as the gains are minimal.

Whatever 8800 model you decide to get, make sure it's an EVGA if you want to "step-up" to the 9800gx2 next month.

And don't go for it...save your money and get a 9-series.
