Well im looking for a new car.

I want something small and something that will not break every month or so.

Nway I saw few Neon from 2000 to 2002. They are not bad looking, motor is not that big(2L) and I can afford the price.

But if some of you have a car like that, or know something about them. Are they good cars?

its something like that: *the color is random*

A 2l is big enough!

And i wouldn't class a Neon as small!

edit- And they were shit on NFS, and that's practically RL!

Yea not that small lol but small motor mbay... Gas is expensive. 2L is not that bad. I can't find a nice looking car not so expensive with a small/medium motor.

But are these Neon good cars?

No idea, they're not exactly common over here, but at a guess, i'd say no.

And for a kid your age, 2 litres is easily enough, if not too much!

I had a look at one a few years back from a dealer here in the U.K, you get a lot of comfort for a reasonable price. But then i went and got a 407

American + Comfort + Good Interior just doesn't add up.

Math Error.

i meant for the price you'd pay. The ride was quite comfortable, but as you say the quality of the interior was of a low standard ( no two bits of trim quite line up together) hence the reason i ended up getting a peugeot

Get an SRT-4 if you're getting a Neon.  Badass little ride.

I know a couple of people that have 200-300 thousand miles on their neons and they are still running like a watch.  If you could possibly save a little more money you could get an SRT-4 neon, which is a bad mofo.  If you do get the 2000 model there is a pretty good chance that I helped build the transmission in it.

Oh so it's like £1000-£2200

Seems like good value, you can't get a better used car for that much.

might rethink the dodge thing all together. the tranny(other than their trucks) in them arent that good and the 4 cyl they use is crap also. the  neon RT model has the good 4 cyl motor think its was a 2.2 or 2.4L. dont know what kind of selection you have but a honda civic would be a good choice and you could trick it out as you get the cash.

Get a Civic or a Toyota instead. They're reliable, decent-looking, and will save you a fortune on gas.
