wierd...here in NY we are getting weather like sunny and 50-60+ degrees which is really wierd since its obviously winter. But, jack frost is comin back by next week....from the low thirties to even the teens some days....not much snow though. I wish.

Carnoustie is world renowned for its drainage systems. If there's a puddle, it rained a lot.
(Which it did, rained from 8AM to 4PM, and all through the night as well.)

Im in South Wales on the coast we get this thing called the "Gulf Stream" thats hot water coming from well hot places I guess (more south than the med). This stops us getting snow when other parts of the UK get theirs.

Our weather isnt extreme but as soon as it gets too wet, too cold, too dry, too hot, too windy or too anything the country goes nuts, trains stop working, motorways become jammed and people panic buy in supermarkets.

We got 10cm of snow, it rained away after two days, then 10cm snow again, wich rained away. Now it's +3 outside. In Finland. In fucking January!
