[Crysis] Sick of this game already [Warning some Spoilers]

God. I'm at the part where you've killed the NK genearl guy and have to go through the alien ship to escape the mountain. I've been getting around 4fps inside that thing the entire time I've been through it and I'm stuck at the part where he sees what he states as an "invasion force". There's just so much going on in that part of the ship that I cannot move without a 2 second delay. I cannot find my way through the huge opened room with all the alien guys floating around attacking me, so, unless there's some type of cheat/hack where I can switch levels, I'm done with this game until I get a new computer in a decade.

I restarted on the hardest difficulty and I'm not stuck here. Arg.

Anyone know a way around all this?

Yea you could use the Crysis launcher (http://crymod.com/filebase.php?fileid=290) and just launch the next level (search for a bit) and play on from there... The next level is 'Paradise Lost' you'll have to look for it the filenames are different than the chapter names.
You can also turn down the settings to play this level through.

Well, I actually played through it fine until that point. It's at the part now I'm getting the 4ish fps. I haven't really tested it, but it feels like I'm playing Quake 2 on my old 386.

I HATED the mountain level, because it lagged the shit out of my system too, and I was never fast enough (thanks to the lag) when the aliens attacked me (so I ended up simply going invisible all the time).

But after that, it gets fun again - try what xGj said

Anyways...

What is the level after you get out of the mountain? Is the the one where you have to defend the soldiers from the alien attacks at that house?

Also, how do you grab the enemies by the throat?

You get to pilot a VTOL which is pretty cool. It's a short but sweet mission. To grab someone just get close to them and an icon should show up on your screen that says "Grab Enemy". Hit F (or whatever your "use" key is) to grab them.

No the alien attacks at the house(/bar) level is 'Exodus' the level you get in after you're out of the Zero-G shit is 'Paradise Lost'. I think you should load up 'Ice' in the CrysisLauncher as your next map but I'm not sure.

Thanks xGj. Got through that part and finished the game. Pretty hard at the end on the highest difficulty and a sub-par rig, but I did it. Can't wait for the next... but could never play it.

I found the tank mission to be just about as much of a b*tch as the alien level. I had a pretty solid framerate throughout that level, so much that I could grab the aliens before they could attack me and kill them with a single throw.
