I've been trying to figure this out, the phone looks great but i can find videos on youtube with it and alot of people in the comments are saying "i ordered one, should arrive tommorrow" and other sites say "released december 2007"...

I doubt this because NONE of the official samsung homepages have the phone listed

It is so frustrating, and what bothers me most is the idiocy of the American phone market,, why do your phones HAVE to be tied to a certain Network???

Here in europe, the manufacturer creates the phone and ALL carriers can sell it..... that US stuff is such idiocy....

Help/Discuss plz ?

I beleive it was renamed the Samsun Croix; has had the 5 mega pixel camera reduced to a 3.2 and has had they keyboard layout modified.

You may have better luck searching for it.

And I totally agree with the poor US phone carriers. Europe and Australia fortunately share the ability to have unlocked phones and replacable sim cards.

Hmm vodafone UK has it,,, but there is no choice to buy the PHONE itself,,, only a subscription (stupid US idea brought to Europe >.<)..

Guess i will have to wait the 2-3 months untill it releases in Denmark + Rest of europe

@ Aussiereaper
I think the Croix was the name of the prototype, the official release name is F700

If your willing to pay for postage, there are plenty of unlocked f700's on e-bay right now.

Australia:

I want to wait and see if we get a Danish keyboard (one with Æ Ø Å), and i don't want the trouble of sending it to HongKong / Au if it breaks or if i want the software updated

But thx anyway

EDIT: Meh at those prices i guess i will just buy a HTC Touch Cruise (better specs + same price + windows + GPS + WiFi)

Hey no prob. I should've considered a Danish keyboard would've been required. lol

Enjoy it when it comes.

They're crap....don't bother getting one. Half the time they lock up when you try and end a call, the touch screen is not sensitive enough and the UI is piss poor.

And in the US phones get delayed because the FCC has to approve them, they usually come out 8 months after the Asia or Europe release.
