I would. Im not even planning on using SLI when I buy a PC but Im getting one anyway.

Slightly off topic stupid question following:

It says - 6 SATA-2 ports with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, JBOD

Does that mean that it already has RAID setup built in? Or would I need a RAID controller?

It means it has support for raid, no addiitonal controller needed

Few years?  Naw

There are a few reasons why, but the main for me must be the fact that it is just a tarted up 680, and the additional features over the 680i (PCI 2.0, arent worth an over £50 premium).

A P35/X38 board with maybe a R680 or 9800GX2 would be a better future proofing solution.

Imo anyways

Thanks, that cleared things up for me.

By the time DDR3 is cheap enough and has enough power the 790i will be outdated. Unless it has DDR2 and DDR3 support its not worth it.
