There's IP info, post count, admin note, and maybe some other things (mod history?) underneath each person's username in their posts. On all posts there's a link called "ModMin" which I think lets them take action on a post, e.g. delete, delete with AWM, delete with ban, put down on user history etc. I think there's also an Edit button over every post.
At the top (Where you see your karma) I'm almost certain there's some sort of "Mod CP" link that takes them to a control panel which probably gives info on the forums, users, reported messages etc.
