Yeah we just had a quiz on those a couple days ago. That's why I remember.HurricaИe wrote:
I had a chem exam today, and one of the questions involved permanganate (we had to write out the chemical formula for some ion involving permanganate)
Sulfate, sulfite, ammonium, dicarbonate, acetate, etc.
-ite ions are "ous" acids (eg. nitrite = nitrous)
-hydrogen + an element is hydroELEMENTic (e.g. hydrofluoric acid)
I tried the juice when the bottle was new, and I liked it. However, now, it doesn't taste too good. Bitter aftertaste. I think it just went bad or something.

True that. Or really any mixed drink. Grenadine juice is traditionally made from pomegranates. The fruit is really really good too. All the little pods are really good. The only problem is that it stains like a motherfucker.GuliblGuy wrote:
Quite tasty in a martini
Is grenadine also what maraschino cherries come in? Because they kinda look similar and my family substitutes one for the other in shirley temples, lol.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Most likely, the "maraschino" cherries that are store bought are actually artificial cherries - created and colored to look like cherries. Most of the time the sauce is just corn syrup, artificial coloring and artificial flavoring.haffeysucks wrote:

If it tastes good, who cares though, right?

I hear pomegranates are starting to be the new "wonder fruit", since I hear it's better than the other fruits. At least, I think that's what I heard. Haven't tried it myself, though.
Yeah, and I like Pomegranates and Pomegranate juice
