How many BF2 Accounts are there?

I know it muct change everyday, but does any one know about how many there are?

Well when my dad first started coupla weeks ago I once checked his stats and he had like 100 points and he was ranked Globally about 720.000 so there are alot of account but alot of them are dead account.. accounts that have been tried and than never used again

So here's another question along the same lines:  How many accounts are active at any given time?

That would be a closer idea of the active accounts.  You have to make alot of assumptions about duration of play and world wide time zones are a factor.  This isn't something I'm about to try but some young enterprising lonely guy could look at the number of in-game players at some interval over a reasonable length of time (such as hourly for a week) then you could get a fairly close look at average usage.

On BF2tracker it says 476,681 soldiers tracked, 50,203 men, 1,462 women, lol and 425,016 unknown.

How does bf2tracker know if your gender? I don't remember inputting this information or BF2 asking me to enter this info when I first set up my account...

it must ask when you make an acct, but not everyone makes an acct. or puts that on there
