Avoid the German kids. Seriously. Apparently German parents feel that it's their prerogative if they want to stop in the middle of everything and send their kids on a perpendicular joyride across the piste, and if you hit them, you're going to have a fat guy trying to catch you on skis. In retrospect, it's kinda funny, but those kids serve as some serious speed bumps.

bunny slopes ftw. if your going down something too fast stay on your heelside the whole way down and dont attempt to carve to your toes unlessyou want to hit a mogle and die.

im really experienced and i was heeling down this steep slope with like 5 feet of fresh pow pow in utah a few weeks ago and i didnt see a mogle andmy nose dug in and i cartwheeled about 7 times.......

Tip: On mogley areas like the one i just spoke of, you might want to lift up your goggles because you can see the bumps a little better, with goggles the perspectives whack and theyll pop up too late

When you get stuck in the powwwwda and its really deep i suggest just unstrapping and walking out of it if your nearby some packed. if not. try to get up and hop out

Don't board into a chunk of ice and snow, and if you do make sure you react fast enough to not put all the force of landing on your wrist.

That's how I broke my wrist (growth plate to be exact, thankfully my arm had pretty much finished growing so I won't look like a freak)... my right wrist no less, which is the dominant one.

I actually got pretty good at writing with my left hand

Germans are everywhere. This particular incident happened in the Czech Republic. You can spot these horrific spawns of satan by the delightfully tasteful mullets most of them sport.

Colorado snow FTW! If possible rent flow bindings, you'll save a lot of time getting back in your gear. Stay away from deep tree wells or you'll die, stay in bounds unless you have avalanche training & a beacon. Carve some powder & stay out of the rat park. Lunch time is perfect to flirt & grab numbers for the cold night ahead, look for the girls dressed well but not skiing or boarding, mmmm ski bunnies.
