Doesn't seem like he wants to say the words directly but I just know he's aching to try and send troops into Iran. On the other side though I bet Iran is hoping the same but neither seem to want to fire the first shots, guess he's trying to intimidate them by this choice of words?

Bush term is coming to an end. With the prospect of the next president not being part of his group of friends makes him think about all the cover ups that are gonna pop up.

Thinking like him attacking Iran would be critical in the next months before another man comes to power. This people will lie, steal and murder to remain in power and when the US falls they will just pick up their money bags and move on to another country, fund another political force and do it all over again.

History as always been like this and will continue to be untill the little man face the elite

Don't you think the US and allies have had enough reasons to go to war? The kidnappings, the Navy incident. If they were itching for any excuse for war it would have happened by now. Surely?

It doesn't matter what Iran want because the likelihood is that the war will take place on their soil. I can't see the Iranian forces capturing US cities any time soon.

They haven't really done anything that is absolutely hostile. It could be argued it's similar to when the Russians flew long range bombers close to the UK. They had no intention of doing anything. They were just being dick heads.

The yanks can't hold Iraq and fight Iranians at the same time, logistics, manpower, home support just isn't there.  Iran know this and are just fingering the Yankee asshole to piss em off.

I doubt Iran wants a war with anyone.  Its more likely that what theyre doing is undermining the international credibility of the US and the UK through carefully staged incidents like those mentioned above.  Undermining their credibility in the eyes of the international community means that they lose the trust of the world in their ability to manage the situation in Iraq.  I think we are vastly underestimating Iran here:  they dont need a war to defeat the US and the UK in the middle-east; by gradually undermining their credibility, they will eventually succeed in seeing us leave Iraq, and the middle-east, with our tails between our legs.

Do you know that the  Chinease airforce have ruffly 470,000 airmen, 2,556 jet fighters, 400 ground attack jets, about 1.9 million men 14000 tanks and around 453 helicopters (and dont forget that its basicaly manditory that most Chinease men are somehow incooperated with the armed service). Now...Think about the losses we suffered in iraq, where there armory is only limited to late 60s-80s technology. Starting a war with China is biting more off the cake then we can chew. War with China? Can you spell D-R-A-F-T.   Bush IMO just picked on a country which can easily be overun with minimal losses and it seemed that we still are having problems with all the technology that is going around.  In the begenning of Operation Iraqi Freedom there weren't any light armored vehicles that could withstand the improvised explosive devices, alot of marines and rangers lost there lifes because of it. Now that the threat is real US has began to develop heavier armored humvees that can withstand the pressure of a bomb, and this is just a weapon out of a 3rd world country(IED) which was probably thought of on the toilet. Can you imagine the un-thought of threats that are just waiting to be revealed by China or North Korea that we are not prepared for.

North Korea on the other hand is obviously manufacturing plutonium which can make a nuclear bomb. Im sure the threat is more serious then Iran but Bush doesnt want to fuck with them. Why? Because theyre more organized then Iraq/Iran. US learned from Vietnam and the previous Korean war.  Kim Jong is basicaly another Saddam Hussien in the making.

And it won't be. There will always be insurgent groups that will never give up. "Wars" like these only end when we leave.

This lesson seems to be lost on our leaders.  The ideology on which these terrorists/ freedom fighters base their whole resistance movement is borne out of British occupation of India in the 19th Century, which aims to remove the Western powers from middle-eastern lands entirely.  They would love nothing more than for us to leave them completely alone.  But because of our dependence on their oil, we wont.

That is one of the worst, most bigotry filled and typical posts I have ever read, and that attitude is also why America is frowned upon by a major portion of the world.
(please show me evidence that any Chinese military officer has ever said that war with American is "Inevitable". That sounds more like the Japanese high command in the Pearl Harbour film than anything else).

All these wars to remove dictators and leaders is pathetic. So they want to develop a Nuke, so what? They fire one...how the fuck many are they going to get in return? Has the cold war not taught the superpowers anything?
