the only real games i play or COD and wow and atm im running an ati radeon x300 with 128mb of memory. I have a nice screen and i was gonna get a new dell with the card i mentioned above and get a new monitor with it so i could have dual. As long as the above card is better than my current one i don't mind

so is it?

Both these cards are no good for running the latest games on a smooth setting, you need to be looking at an 8800GT, or ATI 3870. But it all depends on your budget, but if you get one of those cards, you are just wasting your money imho

From the product specs (http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonhd2400/specs.html):

Two independent display controllers

    * Drive two displays simultaneously with independent resolutions, refresh rates, color controls and video overlays for each display
    * Full 30-bit display processing
    * Programmable piecewise linear gamma correction, color correction, and color space conversion
    * Spatial/temporal dithering provides 30-bit color quality on 24-bit and 18-bit displays
    * High quality pre- and post-scaling engines, with underscan support for all display outputs
    * Content-adaptive de-flicker filtering for interlaced displays
    * Fast, glitch-free mode switching
    * Hardware cursor

This is a budget card though so I wouldn't count on it to be relevant to any serious FPS games you want to buy after 6 months and probably even sooner.  It may run current titles but it most likely won't preform as good as you would hope for dropping the bucks on a card.  It's better to wait and save up for some real power with upper mid to high end card.

It's a bitch to have to wait and to spend that kinda bank but the good thing is that card is then good for at least a couple years... hopefully.

Oh you are getting a prebuilt.

Then the 6800.

But note that for 650€ you could build a much better computer than the prebuilt systems are.

Shit dude. My PC came with an X300 128MB years ago, and it cant run shit. How do you manage that?

Also, why the hell would you buy dual monitors? That is a huge WASTE of money and it is completely pointless and unnecessary. If you dont want to build your own PC then at least save the money from the monitor for a new graphics card.

WRONG

You don't know the benefits of having dual monitors unless you actually use them yourself. I have 2 dell flat panels and I love them to death.

What benefits? Running the desktop on one end and a game on the other? Or running a game on both monitors and having a space in the middle? I really couldnt think of any benefits to it at all unless you really had alot of spare cash on your hands or were a mad multitasker. Having dual monitors would make me commit suicide because of my odd habit of having to have everything centered.

I used to run dual 1024x768 LCDs back in the day. Kickass, really. IRC on one, web browser on another.

I should get my lazy ass off this chair and fix the one that broke, and do it again
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

i have an x1900xt 512mb and run a 22" wide and a 19" 4:3. i use the 4:3 for xfire, vent, web, etc, when running games. there are very few games (WIC and a few others) that have 2x monitor support.
