Well, my brother got a new computer recently and when he tries to connect to internet it says," unidentified network, Local Access Only". Anyone knows a fix?

He unistalled ALL firewalls, Went manage "network connections" and disable/enabled/repaired and still nothing. Thanks.

Is he trying to connect to a wired or wireless connection?

Yes, it is through a router.

Nope, no software needed.

Maybe this is a stupid suggestion, but did he unplug the router aswell?  Infact, unplug eveything from everything.  Turn the router on, connnect it to the computer, boot the computer, try to connect again.  Have your firewall on as well as some sort of internet protection i.e norton.  Maybe that will help.  Though Im no expert...

Have you configured the TCP/IP settings?
