If you call $316 expensive for something that doubles the power of the Q6600 ( $274 ) then something is wrong.

Those 3 CPUs are much more powerful than the Q6600. So yes, it does basically double.
Q9450 2.66ghz isn't that much faster than Q6600 2.4ghz. The 45nm tech gives +10-15% more performance and + 10% from the increased clockspeed.Zimmer wrote:
