2 gigs would be an astronimical gain, your ram looksto be the bottleneck of your system, the more ram the less work the HD will have to do, as the ram will keep all the information in it. I run 2 1gig sticks of corsair value ram and my machines load times blow most peoples out of the water.
My Setup:
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon64 FX-53 @ 2.4gGhz
2x EVGA 7800GT CO's SLI
2x Maxtor 160GB PATA HD, Mirrored
2x Corsair 1028Mb Value Ram
I should have 2 more sticks for the 4Gb or maybe 4 sticks of 512 for 2Gb, the more paired sticks the better.
4x 256Mb > 2x 512Mb
4x 512Mb > 2x 1Gb
4x 1Gb > Anything on the market
So adding a 1Gb card to your system, (is it 2x 256Mb or 1x 512Mb?) wont let the new card work as well as it would having it paired with anouther its own size.
The ram/HDDs are going to be your determining factor for load times, you should always pair your ram to get the most out of if (Dual Channel). Do you experience choppyness in games or just slow loading?
Edit: Your the new guy right?
