What would be a good video card for BattleField2 and futures games i've been looking at the 8800 but it's a bit expensive, i want a card that is cable of running direct x10 and is SLI ready.

Like what future games exactly?

For SLI ready I'd say 8800GS.

For Crossfire ready you will find the best midrange card at the minute, Radeon HD3850.

Crysis, maybe COD4 and most likely BF3 if there is going to be one....

if you can wait...deathulimited mentioned a good one: 8800gs or 8800gt when price goes down.

if you can't wait...i would recommend 8800gt but 8600gt xxx edition has treated me well so far.

edit: xfx 8600gt XXX edition

Okay, I say get a crossfire motherboard and the HD3850. It will beat BF2 and Cod4, Crysis probably on medium/high'ish settings, and it will also be capable of running BF3 most probably.
