I did do the search but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Now, hear me out, because I'm sure there will be many people asking this same question.

I recently got promoted to Sergeant, I don't play BF2 that much, anyway, I still have my 2 unlocks (up from 1 earlier), and am wondering if I can keep my unlocks after the booster packs come out. So, in short, could I use the unlocks on the new weapons once the packs come out?

It would make sense, I am doing the same (just promoted to staff sgt.) and will then decide what I want, if not I will just get one of the other weapons.

im pretty sure you can. i have everything unlocked, and then one day last week it gave everyone 2 free unlocks (1 if you only play regular bf2) so since it gave us those free unlocks, you should be able to use them on the new weapons (which im sure the free unlocks are for)

my question is as follows, i have a new account that has just got the second unlock, i havnt used it yet but will i have to still wait for 2500 points to be able to unlock the new sniper rifle or could i get it when the pack comes out.
ofcourse ill have to get points on spec forces and iv alread unlocked the m95.

well, if you do have an unlock left, there should be no reason why you shouldn't be able to use it for the new sniper weapon ( provided you have the other sniper unlocks ).

but what i thought was, becuase the sf unlocks start getting awarded at 2500 (or so i belive) i wont be able to get it as it will be in the same teir of unlocks as the sf weapons.

As a matter of fact: the SF Unlocks were given out 2 ranks higher than the standard unlocks as 2 of them were missing (Sniper and AT). This was done in order to prevent the higher ranked to have the SF unlocks completed earlier than the vanilla BF2 unlocks. However since this gap is getting closed by now (same number of unlocks for SF and BF2), each rank will have the same amout of unlocks. You must remember that even if these two unlocks are originally from Euro Force, they count as SF unlocks.
