new stuff coming tomoz.....wat gfx card will suit it .....so excited lol
im stuck on choice between the 8800gts and the gt (cnt afford the gtx no more)....im readin a pc mag which is sayin tht the gt out does the gts but its cheaper im confused any help ? and is there anythin u guys in the know can see which arent compatible? btw i intend to use stock cooling on my cpu.

PC Magazine was most likely talking about the old 8800GTS. In December the new GTS (which is based on the GT) came out. It has more stream processors then the GT, and has a dual slot cooler, which lowers temps and allows for more OCing.

GT is not based on the old GTS. GT has a different processor structure.

So can the GT, I think you are meaning will run it faster (as in fps)? Well if so, yes, but not by a huge amount, on full settings I dont think anyone on a single GPU rig is managing above 40fps, and that is with the best of equipment, your most likely to get 25-35fps.

What specfic card is it you want a link to on a UK site?

dont flame me...for the uncompatibility of my products lol....but im a 16 year old student ..just finished the build an im quite impressed...i would post it in rig pics and spec's etc...but this is more of a build in progress im still yet to recieve my monitor but the unit itself is done...

specs are;

intel e6750 @ 2.2ghz
ocz 4gb ram 2*2 gig stick
corsair 550w psu
nividia 8800gt (made by expert vision)....was expecting the nividia brand and im stuck with this but its overclocked...so should be good
samsung hdd and dsic drive
antec 900
abit ip35 pro

all runnin vista 64bit ultimate...cost me just under 625 with my students discount knocked off

this is my first build just wonderin wat u guys would say ???...at least i put the thermal paste on the right side of the cpu....unlike some people in this forum haha

im just slightly annoyed tht i didnt get the sleek nvidia case i thought i was gttin ..instead i got some bare gfx card with a huge heatsink ...will get gaming on it tomoz night with new monitor ....so its all fine....hopefulli it'll be good, scored 5.9 on vista performance thing ...if not i may just sue www.aria.co.uk for floggin dodgy components. haha oj there return service is good also .

Honestly its a great sight and all ...amazing delivery service...with standard packages arriving in 2 days ...prices are easily the cheapest around..but with things like gfx you wont get brand you want etc ...something which is perfect at www.overclockers.co.uk.
