How do you orangnize your PC's insides?

Basically as the title says... I've been building PCs for a while but I have never bothered to properly organize them. Do any of you know how to, know of any tutorials, or have any suggest how too? First off my case is a traditional case the PSU cage on top and bags in the front of the case; another words a regular ATX case. Thanks!

Well, tie up the cables and stuff everything away. I usually route some cables behind the motherboard/motherboard plate. Just nmake sure there's no metal exposed there, and nothing pushing at the mobo.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Clear cable ties are great for keeping stuff in line. My best suggestions would be to try and bundle your cables together, and route what you can behind the mobo. In some of my cases (Thermaltake Soprano and Aguila), I tuck my rear fan cables and 4pin mobo power plug into the support beam for the PSU, which keeps them hidden and prevents them from catching in the HSF.

If you're building a new system, a Modular PSU and rounded IDE cables for your Optical Drives are an absolute must. If you are totally obsessive with keeping your case organized, you could also consider moving your hard drive cage so that your SATA cables run less of a distance. But, IMO, it's not worth it.

And they should totally make more bendable SATA cables. Mine are stuck in the shape Gigabyte packed them.

Rounded IDE cables aren't always the best option. The big flat ones are foldable and generally allow for creative cable management.

One thing I did is that I mounted my hard drives backwards, so that the sata and powercables are plugged in near the front. This keeps most of the cable length at bay.

This works very well for aesthetics though be careful, putting too many wires in the front of the case will block airflow or the wires will get pushed in to the fan blades.

Which is why I put it in the lowest drive bay, the fan sits right above it. Any more drives and it would block the fan blades. Just check to make sure you have room first, or if you don't have a front case fan, then no problem.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll post my computer eventually. I get to order everything on Monday. BTW, i'm getting the new ASUS 8800GT so I don't have to deal with the ugly heat sink anymore.

Actually theyre the same price, the overclocked ASUS version is more expensive. The EVGA card comes with a free copy of Crysis as well. I dont get what you mean by "nothing special" its the same graphics card either way, at the same price. Only difference is EVGA has better customer support and lifetime warranties.

I have a sleeved Power supply and everything that wasnt sleeved, I sleeved myself with tools from AC Ryan. I routed them over nd behind my motherboard tray and got rid of any flat IDE cables.

I dont think eVGA do the card with that specific heat sinc desing. Bar the new dual slot thingy

It kinda looks like the Antec 900, but I'm not sure.

I looked at the case on newegg and it don't say what type of configuration it is. It just says ATX mid tower.
