I guys, i got full version of Fraps but i can't record sound... Sound device is set to : SoundMAX HD audio my sound drivers.. and sound input is Stereo mix which i think is normal. Well i dont have any sound in my video and the only option is to set it to microphone :S ... I think that the problem is that soundmax hd thing but what can i try to fix it... audio setting in OS directly..

What other options do you have for sound imput?

Try reinstalling sound drivers, or fraps?

Try reinstall/update your sound card.

Support a ticket to beepa and ask them as they made the program.

Are you using a usb headset?  If so, Fraps doesn't record the ingame sound.  Fraps only records the ingame sound if your headset is using the actual soundcard.

I had the same problem - NO sound in recorded Fraps videos. It turned out I had to reinstall the soundcard (X-Fi).
Now it works again. The Fraps installation was not the problem.
